SHIPYARD ACTIVITIES
From complex repairs to structured newbuilding supervision, every shipyard visit becomes a controlled, transparent, and value-driven process.

Repair
Atotech Maritim delivers full-scope ship repair and maintenance services with a strong focus on operational continuity, cost control and regulatory compliance. We manage all repair disciplines required when vessels enter drydock or afloat repairs, including steel renewal, hull and structural works, tank repairs, piping systems, accommodation refurbishments and paint coating applications.

In the engine room, our services extend to the overhaul and repair of main engines, auxiliary engines, generators, pumps, compressors, purifiers, heat exchangers, valves, boilers and auxiliary systems. We coordinate closely with shipyards, specialized subcontractors, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure that all works meet class rules, flag state requirements, and makers’ recommendations.
Our role includes detailed repair specification preparation, contractor evaluation, supervision of works, quality assurance, progress tracking and cost monitoring. During this timeframe we provide structured reporting and transparent communication to shipowners and technical managers, ensuring informed decision-making at every stage.
Newbuilding
Atotech Maritim provides comprehensive technical and project support throughout the entire newbuilding process, from initial concept to the final delivery. Our involvement begins with contract and specification review, ensuring that technical, operational and regulatory requirements are fully aligned with the owner’s long-term strategy.

We support design reviews, plan approval coordination with class societies, equipment and system selection and verification of compliance with statutory regulations. During construction, our on-site supervision ensures proper installation, quality workmanship and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.

We also assist during commissioning, sea trials, performance verification and defect list (punch list) management. Acting as the owner’s technical representative, we safeguard quality, schedule, and budget while ensuring that the vessel is delivered ready for safe, efficient and compliant operation.
